Fund Outflows Go to Bonds?

The Investment Company Institute came out and said that more than 33 Billion dollars fled from mutual funds. This is staggering, but then again the equities markets have not been all that hot for the past decade or so. The popular thinking suggests that people are instead investing in bonds, which is a dangerous proposition. Astute and resourceful investors would be better off finding a handful of decent dividend funds and investing there. Not all dividend funds, after all, are bad and with the yields some of them are obtaining they will pay back a decent income and give the investor a bonus in terms of capital appreciation as well.
